Grafton races will be run on Tuesday.

Races four through to nine were postponed at Grafton on Sunday due to a fall involving apprentice jockey Leah Kilner in race three.

The six postponed races as well as two additional races will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon, with a number of key races scheduled ahead of the famous Grafton July Carnival.

The Grafton Cup Prelude, Grafton Guineas Prelude and John Carlton Cup headline the Northern Rivers meeting, with a number of those horses expected to push on to next week’s feature meeting.

The two additional races on Tuesday have been picked up from Tuesday’s abandoned race meeting at Ballina – a Class 2 Handicap (1250m) and Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m).

The first of eight races at Grafton on Tuesday is scheduled to jump at 12:15pm AEST.

Nominations for next week’s Ramornie Handicap (July 13) and Grafton Cup (July 14) meetings close this Thursday, July 7, at 11am AEST.
