The Watchdog says
? : This is the fast class event of the night and there is plenty of speed and strength engaged. LALA IVORY (1) is a serious up and comer and she is armed with dynamic early speed. From the inside draw she should hold a prominent spot at the first bend, however the in-form ASTON TITAN (5) is expected to pour the pressure on soon after box rise. After scoring a gutsy 30.06sec win here, he ventured north to Wentworth Park and qualified for the Group 3 Bob Payne Sprint. His confidence is through the roof at present and he is expected to begin well and be a factor throughout. HE SHALL BLITZ (3) is the interesting runner. He relies on a lot of luck in his races but will charge home and he returned to his best recently with a powerful 29.51sec Sandown Park win. It should be a keenly contested affair and big runs from EILISH (6) and DAPH’S ZAC (8) would not surprise either.

The Watchdog says ? : She has raced well here to date and is always a chance with her dazzling early speed. There is not a whole lot of pace drawn close to the rail and with GUNAI REBEL (5) expected to spear the lids and drift to the rail, our selection should get a dream run across. It is not an overly strong event, so the $3.50 appears to be value.

The Watchdog says ? : After a string of luckless efforts, he was able to return to form with a top 29.51sec Sandown Park win. There are four runners with similar early pace in this event and there is expected to be some bunching at the turn, which will allow him to get a nice run through. He will be powering to the line and looks a great bet for a top three finish.

? $2 Win – STRADA

The Watchdog says ? : She has been racing well in much stronger company of late and she gets her chance to return to the winners list. She meets a good one in ROCKABYE BEAR (8), but he is having his first look here and is drawn in the carpark, so he will have some trouble crossing early and that should allow STRADA (1) to zip away through the first corner.

? $4 Place – ZIPPING CLIFFORD

The Watchdog says ? : ‘Cliff’ should be fully fit after three runs since a spell, and he is the best investment of the night. He has not experienced a lot of luck since resuming and with the ‘red’ runner expected to pounce on the lead, he should get a dream run through at the first bend and head to the back in a stalking position. Although not selected in the top three as I believe others are better winning chances, he has the class edge and a top three finish does looks likely.
