The Stir Up featuring Bobby Axelrod, Alpha Zulu and Hector Fawley

GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Gents, the significant contribution of women in racing is celebrated tonight with the Premier Racing meeting at Sandown Park.

Gerard  Quilts, Jess Hopkins has Bobby Axelrod in the Judy Hayley Memorial Final and she was “really happy” with him on Sunday. The Group 2 Ballarat Cup finalist appears to be the class factor.

Trent  Lakeview Buff has been in top form as well, Gerard. She has won three of her last five starts and she finished fourth in the Group 1 Sapphire Crown Final a fortnight ago.

Quilts  Jessica Sharp has Meatball Molly in tonight’s co-feature, the Karen Leek Memorial. Sharp admitted that Box 4 isn’t ideal, but if Meatball Molly gets to the rail early, “she’ll be hard to beat”.

Gerard  Meatball Molly won’t have an easy task though. Zipping Eve is a 14-time winner and Rachael’s Tears – litter sister to Trooper Tears and Trapper Tears – has won consecutive races.

Trent  Big Energy (Race 10) is also at Sandown Park tonight, while Titan Blazer (Race 8) and Paddy Wants Pats (Race 9) headline the meeting at Warrnambool this evening.

Gerard  Can Alpha Zulu continue the impressive start to his career at Albion Park tonight? He is one of many Victorian youngsters contesting heats of the Group 2 Flying Amy Classic.

Quilts  Hector Fawley was magical once again over a middle-distance trip in Friday night’s Racecallers Showdown. He is one of the Victorians in heats of the Group 3 Carnival Chase.

Trent  Postman Pat has been magnificent since arriving from New Zealand. He will be eyeing his fourth win from four starts in Victoria at Bendigo tomorrow afternoon.

Gerard  Shima Shadow is a great chance of winning his eighth race from 12 attempts at Geelong tomorrow night, while recent Group 1 runners-up Magic Muffin and Kai Bale are at The Meadows on Saturday night. There are stars everywhere!
