Race 1

9 Cuddly Trouble: Generally saves the best for races like this where there are non-winners in front. Manners are good, so will give a shot.

8 Pat The Monkey: Another who performs well when up in grade so this shouldn’t pose too many problems. Can get a big slice.

7 Wandering Star: Into the Mowbray barn and trial performance behind a handy one was pretty good. Look for an improvers run.

6 Lisa Marie P: Generally goes best when on the speed and making them work a bit. Good chance to get that opportunity here. Not the worst.

Selections: 9-8-7-6

Race 2

8 Payment Plan: Can’t fault the formline and Gore run was excellent after doing some work. Even looking field, so deserves plenty of respect.

3 Rin Tin Tin: Much better last time out when finishing third. Better than a maiden and won’t take too long to drop the tag, perhaps here.

5 With The Stars: Must be something there or strike-rate trainer wouldn’t be bothering. Can turn things around here and get back into good form.

2 Loissonya: Handy run last Saturday at Gore. Orange sticks with the ship and usual good beginning will have her right in contention.

Selections: 8-3-5-2

Race 3

9 Frankie D: Has been whacking away in decent fields up the road at Addington recently. Inside draw here makes things a little more difficult but can win.

6 Rosinupthebow: Not too bad last time out. His the line nicely and she’s likely to give this a pretty good shake from the handy draw.

8 Mordecai: Got home really well last time out in a much stronger field than this. Will need that little bit of luck but certainly good enough.

10 Vigoroso: Might be the sleeper of the field. Does throw in the odd really good performance and with Orange in the bike will get every opportunity.

Selections: 9-6-8-10

Race 4

7 Sweet Mary: Handy mare back from a spell and into a very winnable race here. Trial effort was excellent. Looks very hard to roll here tonight.

5 Rollova: Been knocking around and producing some strong efforts up the road in Canterbury. Will give the #7 plenty to think about tonight.

8 Aveross Rustler: Right kind of race for him. Has the gate speed to cross them for fun early which puts him in the right position.

1 Rockin Rod: Now in the Graeme Anderson barn. We know what that’s meant in the past. Good draw is a big aid too. Can get a big slice of it.

Selections: 7-5-8-1

Race 5

1 Fanny Hill: All anyone wants to talk about this week after some nice trial form. Right stable and familiar driver is a big plus in even looking trotting line up.

8 With Ice: Been taking on some pretty handy fields up the road in last few starts. Should find this a bit easier and small field helps the task too.

3 Neverneverland: Does like it here although mid-race stop last time out was concerning. Leading junior in the bike to make things happen.

6 Anothersuperstar: Needs a quick beginning and to plot a path, but in front out of trouble doing her own thing they might not catch her tonight.

Selections: 1-8-3-6

Race 6

3 Jaimes Bad Boy: Threw a win away last time out with a gallop when looking likely. Good kind of race, but it’s hold your breath sort of stuff.

7 Glacier Coaster: Can’t fault the form line, just keeps getting it done from wherever at the moment. Wide draw no help, but sure to give a sight.

2 Bettors Highlight: Talented enough type fresh up tonight and operating from a really good draw. Will give supporters something to cheer about for sure.

5 Magic Blaze: Only has a short, sustained sprint but did make up plenty of ground at Timaru. Needs to land a little handier here and can sneak into the top four.

Selections: 3-7-2-5

Race 7

12 Spirit Of St Louis: Given a spell after two encouraging runs to open the career. Might need to plot a path from here, but certainly good enough to do so.

11 Triroyale Brigade: Returned to racing in emphatic fashion with a strong win last time out and only going to be better for it. Can make it two in a row here.

5 Hidden Delight: Nice maiden win at Timaru in a decent time. Not the worst shot going up in grade for the first time with a good beginning.

7 Wolf West: Led them up and got run down last time out, but far from disgraced. Orange in the bike tonight so will get every opportunity to get a bit of the action.

Selections: 12-11-5-7

Race 8

13 Ringo’s A Star: Got left parked out wide fresh up but did keep fighting right to the line for a handy sixth. Better than most in this and no surprise to see a big run.

5 Bono Brown: First up from a handy stable and showed enough in two runs to open the career to be considered a big chance in this line up.

3 Jive: Form on the board and going near enough. Should get into a pretty handy sport form this draw and give a good sight again.

11 Hands Up Jack: Still getting it all together but he was very good last time out, just like he has been for most of his career. Each way shot again in this field.

Selections: 13-5-3-11

BEST: 7 Sweet Mary (Race 4)

NEXT: 3 Jaimes Bad Boy (Race 6)

VALUE: 9 Cuddle Trouble (Race 1)
