‘LITTLE SHIMA’ TO SHINE!

The Group 2 Geelong Gold Cup heats (520m) comprise some of the most exciting prospects in the land – with Shima Classic one of the star attractions.

“Little Shima” – a younger half-sister of dual G1 winner and superstar Shima Shine – has inherited the family genes.

She made the G1 Australian Cup final (525m) at her 10th start and was a recent Ballarat Cup finalist (450m), after posting the fastest heat win (24.76sec). Only 24 months old, she’s already a winner of eight races from 14 starts.

“With slow beginners either side, she’ll get every chance to explode soon after box rise and give them something to catch,” The Watchdog said.

The expert form analyst rates the versatile Sweet As Emm as the main danger.

She was a finalist in last year’s Geelong Gold Cup (520m) and this year’s G1 Bold Trease (715m) at Sandown Park.

“She likes to scrape the paint in her races and owns a blistering 29.64sec PB here,” he added.

Meanwhile, Daily Mail followers have been beneficiaries of The Watchdog’s keen eye, with a 32% profit posted during the past seven days.
