Knights Order

Knights Order put the writing on the wall during the Brisbane Winter Carnival when taking out the Group 2 Brisbane Cup over 3200m in June. However, his spring campaign thus far has been nothing short of disappointing. In four starts this campaign, he has not finished closer than 4.15-lengths to the eventual winner and in the Hotham handicap was beaten convincingly by Great House by 5.85-lengths in his last run leading into the Melbourne Cup.

When will Knights Order run in the Melbourne Cup?

The Melbourne Cup will be run on the first Tuesday in November despite all the COVID-19 chaos, but without the huge crowds that normally grace Flemington on Cup Day.

The one thing that hasn’t changed about the 2021 Melbourne Cup is the horses.

Once again The Cup has brought together an elite field of Melbourne Cup horses to contest the two mile race for $7.75 million.

Can Knights Order win The Cup?

Knights Order is $201 for a reason in the 2021 Melbourne Cup, he was beaten close to six-lengths on Saturday in the Hotham Handicap having led the field up and was found wanting in the home straight. It is hard to see how he beats a majority of his rivals on Tuesday.
