GRV Deputy Chair steps down

Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) Chair Peita Duncan has today announced that GRV Deputy Chair, Emmett Dunne has decided to step down from the GRV Board after almost six years in the position.

Emmett was appointed to the Board in September 2016 and has served as Deputy Chair since 2021.

“I extend my sincere thanks to everyone at GRV and within the broader industry for their support.   I recognise and commend everyone in the greyhound community for what they have achieved throughout my association with them, especially during the difficulties of the pandemic,” he said

“There are always challenges ahead but with the continued commitment of everyone in the industry, the future of the sport looks positive.”

In making the announcement Peita acknowledged Emmett’s significant contribution to the sport during his Directorship and thanked him for his comradery and leadership.

“Emmett is a person of the highest integrity and greyhound racing in Victoria is richer for the experience of Emmett’s involvement over the past six years.

“On behalf of our Board, Leadership Team, and our entire workforce, I offer my heartfelt thanks to Emmett for everything he has brought to our organisation,” she said.
