?Shepparton ? Race 5 ? Box 3 ? 450m ⏱ 8:21pm

The Watchdog says ? : SUBSTANTIAL (3) comes into this event having won two of six and those two wins have been in blistering times. Four runs back he broke his maiden status with a dynamic 23.59sec Bendigo win and he announced himself as a serious star prospect. Tonight, he meets a couple of handy chasers but with an even getaway, he should pounce on the lead and he could press the 25 seconds barrier. He is one to watch going forward in some of the aged classic races. GREYSYND SHOCK (7) and TARGET MASTER (6) are both promising types and they will pour the pressure on early, however they will need the favourite to find some bother to have any chance of causing an upset.

Selections:  3 – 7 – 6 – 8

? THE WATCHDOG’S $10 INVESTMENT ?
?Monday 7 June

? $2 Win – SOUND THE BUGLE
? Warrnambool ? Race 9 ? Box 2 ? 390m ⏱ 2:13pm
TAB fixed odds: $4.80 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/625474476/race/9

The Watchdog says ? : Her form is not stellar, but she has continued to improve with each run, and she has been placed in two of three over this track/distance. Last week she showed brilliant early speed and looked the winner for most of the race before getting a little tired in the run home. I think she will be much better for that run and can lead throughout today.

? $3 Place – BLACK BEAVER
? Ballarat ? Race 6 ? Box 4 ? 450m ⏱ 4:22pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.40 Place

Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/659948766/race/6

The Watchdog says ? : He has not won for a little while, but he has turned in some strong performances in recent times and looks well suited in this event. He will get back early but with a wide runner on his outside and early speed on his inside, he should be able to find the rail soon after box rise and head into the turn in a threatening position. He can win the race, but he always needs a few things to go his way, so the place option is the safer investment.

? $2 Win – LORETTA BALE
? Ballarat ? Race 11 ? Box 6 ? 390m ⏱ 6:07pm
TAB fixed odds: $3.20 Win
Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/659948766/race/11

The Watchdog says ? : She has been ultra-consistent since kicking off her career and is armed with blistering early speed. She meets a couple of handy ones in MONO CHROMATIC (4) and MINI THUNDER (7), however ‘Loretta’ has been racing well in much stronger company and with the empty draw on her inside she will get plenty of room to hit her stride and will have no trouble crossing to the early lead. Her last 40m was previously a little suspect, but she is hitting the line a lot better at present and looks a great investment today.

? $3 Place – GREYSYND SHOCK
? Shepparton ? Race 5 ? Box 7 ? 450m ⏱ 8:21pm                 ***Must Watch Race***
TAB fixed odds: $1.80 Place

Form ? https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/625474479/race/5

The Watchdog says ? : He runs into a jet in SUBSTANTIAL (3); however, he has turned in some great performances of late and has a good record over this track/distance. He tends to race middle to wide and he possesses great early speed, so he should settle just outside the favourite and be in a threatening position throughout. It will be hard to reel in the top elect, but a top three finish does look likely.
