Daily Mail: Will ‘Ja’ rule at Sandown Park?

Premier Racing at Sandown Park is highlighted by dual G1 winner Jarick Bale stepping up in distance to 715m in a Mixed 4/5 race which includes G1 Fanta Bale Super Stayers runner-up Orca.

G3 winner and Sandown Park 595m track record holder Collinda Patty faces multiple Group finalist Riccarton Rick and the consistent Omega Gringo in a Mixed 4/5 595m event, while Australian Sprint winner Nikoli Bale and G2 Warragul Cup winner Robbie Rotten clash in a Grade 4 515m race.

Promising chasers Here Comes Pie, Amlin Emperor and Deep Witts are contesting a 515m Restricted Win final, while She’s Refined and G3 finalist Hometown Hero headline the Launching Pad Qualifier final.

Kysaiah is tipped to win for the fourth time in his last six starts in a Mixed 4/5 515m race.

💰 $3 Place – NIMBLE BLAZE

👀 Must Watch Race 👀

Mixed Grade 4/5

📍 Sandown Park 🏁 Race 7
🔲 Box 6 📏 715m ⏱ 9:04pm

TAB fixed odds: $3.30 Place

The Watchdog says 🎤: NIMBLE BLAZE (6) is an extremely versatile chaser who likes to scout wide. If he can begin well, he should be able to settle in the top three and after a flat patch mid race, he should hit the line well again and he can hit the scoreboard at nice odds.

‘Must Watch Race’ Preview 🎤:

JARICK BALE (2) is one of the best middle-distance chasers in the land and he makes his much-anticipated staying debut tonight. He has been taking on some elite company of late and his times over 600m are just ridiculous, so if he can handle the extra distance, he is going to make a great stayer. It’s not easy to make the transition to staying racing, however his times at Sale over 650m, and the manner in which he hit the line, suggests that he should be able to cover the ground. NIMBLE BLAZE (6) is suitably drawn out wide and he could be there to capitalise if the favourite struggles in the run home, while the ultra-consistent ORCA (1) is drawn to be in the mix throughout.

💰 $4 Win – ROBBIE ROTTEN
📍 Sandown Park 🏁 Race 8 🔲 Box 6 📏 515m ⏱ 9:25pm
TAB fixed odds: $2.30 Win
Form 👉https://watchdog.grv.org.au/meeting/666540609/race/8

The Watchdog says
🎤 : He is the Group 2 Warragul Cup champion, and he will be looking to atone for his unlucky run in the Group 2 Shepparton Cup Final last Saturday night. He finds himself in a race which doesn’t have a lot of early speed, so if he can time the start, he should have more than enough pace to cross early on and with the ability to run sub 29.20sec, they will have a hard time reeling him in.

💰 $1.50 Win – INKA BALE
💰 $1.50 Win – BIG WINGS
📍 Sandown Park 🏁 Race 11 🔲 Boxes 5 & 6 📏 515m ⏱ 10:25pm
TAB fixed odds: $6.50 Win (Inka Bale)
TAB fixed odds: $10 Win (Big Wings)

The Watchdog says
🎤 : COLLINDA LADY (2) is a serious talent and with a clear run she will be winning, however this race features plenty of early speed and I’m expecting her to be crowded in the initial stages. INKA BALE (5) and BIG WINGS (6) are both quick beginners and I think one of them can head to the back straight with a commanding lead and steal the cash.
