Tegan Harrison injured in four-horse fall

Brisbane jockey Tegan Harrison remains in hospital after coming off worst of the jockeys involved in a four-horse fall at Doomben. Harrison has fractures to her sternum, ribs and five vertebrae as well as concussion. Michael Cahill and Brad Stewart walked away from Monday’s incident while Jake Bayliss had lacerations and bruising but was cleared of any breaks after being taken to hospital. The four horses involved were all caught and appeared to be unscathed.

Stephen Brown Jr moved from ICU

Former apprentice jockey Stephen Brown Jr has been moved from intensive care to a ward in Royal Melbourne hospital. Brown Jr was airlifted to Royal Melbourne almost three weeks ago on September 18 after a fall in a jump-out at Wangaratta and placed in an induced coma.
