Two-wave boxing process to be reinstated
Victorian greyhound racing will revert back to the two-wave boxing process from 8am on Tuesday 10 November, 2020. The four-wave boxing process was one of many risk controls put in place since in April to ensure greyhound racing could continue during the peak of the pandemic. Cranbourne’s annual tri-codes meeting was to be held on Saturday 14 November, and while the event being called off due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will nonetheless be plenty of interest in the greyhound racing at Cranbourne that morning. Tributes are flowing in for Phil Skerrett, a mainstay at the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club for four decades. Phil worked in the kennel block area on race nights, with his welcoming smile leaving a lasting impression on many greyhound trainers.
